Anyone have a trick? I can't get my hand back there, are they held in with a plastic expansion fastener? Is there a trick someone discovered?

excellent on-line repair manual for the CTS-V. They have a section on how to remove/replace the side vent. It is taped in place and removed with a heat gun. Fairly simple to remove.

Sorry, not sure how to link a past thread (help anyone?) but if you type this in search, you should find it. Any tips on best way to remove side fender vents?I just took the fast way, broke off the cheap bits and used 3m tape to put them back on. They haven't moved a bit since! More detail and pic on the link past post.

Rich B just told you how. Take a hair dryer and heat up the vent. Slowly pull on the vent, till its free. Don't get the vent to hot, as the
plastic chrome will probably take a whole new look. Cecil................
