I'm looking at buying an '09 CTS-V. I know that the car originally comes with a 50k number-to-bumper and 100k power train warranty. Is the standard warranty transferrable, or only for the original owner?

Thanks for the help!

Goes with the car. Go for it!

The '09 warranty is a little more comprehensive than later years. Buy it and don't look back!

Welcome, gumbee! I double checked my resources for you to confirm, and the warranty is indeed fully transferable. (The warranty goes with the vehicle, not the individual.) Hope this helps!

Glad you're thinking about the stellar CTS-V, and feel free to email me anytime at Katie_Lucille@gmexpert.com if you ever have additional questions.

Hope you become a Cadillac owner soon!

Help me understand this please. What are the difference? My car is an '09 but it's almost up.

Keep in mind that the 50K mi. bumper-to-bumper warranty is only good for four years and the 100K mi. power train warranty is only good for five years - whichever comes first.

I'll see if I can look it up. It wasn't significant, but noticeable...
