Under moderate to heavy throttle at around 35mph the Transmission revs up to 5000 rpm but doesn't shift to the higher gear So I have to let off the throttle THEN it shifts. Then the check engine light comes on and gives Code p2714 and p0700

Welcome, Rustico! I'm very sorry to hear that you've been experiencing this with your Escalade so shortly after your purchase. I would recommend visiting your dealership for service, but if you're more of a fan of the Do-It-Yourself approach, I'm sure you'll find the community members extremely helpful here! If you would like me to investigate any concerns further for you or locate a dealership for you, please feel free to email me anytime at Katie_Lucille@gmexpert.com.

Sounds like a problem in the lower valve body. The TCM is bolted to the valve body. If memory serves me right, the cleaning procedure is no longer recommended.

Sounds like the crappy 2-3 shift. Theres a TSB for that i believe. I had it on mine too, dealer replaced sealing rings with a new design, now it all shifts smooth as butter

If it is the new design 2 piece o ring seal that is needed does anyone know how much it should cost to replace? At the dealer or at an independent shop. I am outside warranty.

My 2008 escalade is slipping from 2-3 when cold. Is this the same problem? How much to fix?

Called the Cadillac dealer here in Tampa to apply the TSB for the 2-3 flare, was quoted $2200.
