Ok, I was on Ebay today and found an entire stock GM clutch, flywheel, and slave for sale with a starting bid of 299.00 bucks. Which is pretty cheap considering GMPartsDirect sells just the slave and flywheel for over 700 dollars. I see through this Forum that Luke at Lindsay sells the LS7 kit for $636.00 plus shipping. So, even though I dont need a clutch right now, I was thinging of buying the Ebay one for down the road when mine does fail. Any thoughts of rational thinking out there!

Here is the write up from ebay.
THIS CLUTCH SET FITS A 2007 CADILLAC CTS-V, V-8 ENGINE, ALL PART ARE GM ORIGINAL PARTS, SLAVE, CLUTCH KIT AND FLYWHEEL. THE GM PART#'S ARE 12587376, 24237869 AND 24230631. THEY ARE BRAND NEW STILL IN THE GM BOX'S AS THEY WERE PURCHASED FROM A LOCAL CADILLAC DEALER

No way, you do not want to put another stock clutch in your car. Changing the clutch is an opportunity to upgrade to a lighter, single flywheel instead of the crappy stock dual mass flywheel. I only have 100 miles on my LS7 clutch so far but I love the lighter flywheel, it revs faster and makes rev matching for downshifts a breeze.

Unless you may sell the car.... NEW CLUTCH would be a good sales pitch.

I picked up a stock clutch, disc, flywheel, slave... for $75 shipped. I wouldn't pay 300 for a stocker. I'd def. go to a better one for that cash.

If you want to pick up a clutch in case... do what I did. I found someone getting rid of their low mileage clutch setup BECAUSE they had went aftermarket. I picked it up from them cheap. I'm sure there's a few guys out there doing conversions who are probably just throwing it away.
