I've heard some people used the Lockpick by Coastal Electronic Technologies in their GM vehicles with success.

And here is an install video on a 2008 CTS w/Nav. Looks to be plug and play

I installed the w4m dvd/nav unlock. Install is easy, the hardest part making sure not to scratch obsidian trim. As for movies, that is for the wife. The nav is extremely useful so I don't have to stop. Of course phones do all that now.

The Navigation system is available while driving. Simply push the Nav button. Watching movies (you or your wife) while the car is in motion is not allowed. You have to cheat the system. Bad!!! Some municipalities don't allow cell phone use while driving, and you have to have an expensive subscription to the Navigation service to Boot.

PRICELESS! "shitload of tickets" is a cop term!
