: 16th Annual National F-Body Event in Memphis, TN May 18th and 19th, all cars welcome
We're doing it again, and this year we're back in Memphis where it all started. It's going to be an awesome year and I wanted to make sure and invite any/all of you to come out.
We have nice trophies for 1-2 in each class, including fastest lap on the road course and autocross, and the car show.
Ask anyone that has ever been, this is always an awesome time.
See ya there.
Back to the top...Come on out folks, it's been a great time for the last 15 years, I doubt this year will disappoint. :-)
1.25 full days of drag racing for around $100, trophies for 1/2 in each class, 3/4 day of road racing with a trophy for fastest lap in the timed event, 1.25 full days of autocross with trophies for 1/2 in each class, car show with trophies for each class, catered banquet after the saturday final event.
What more could you ask for? :-)

Is this the same JR that ran the old F-body message board, owned a black camaro and went to Atlanta in 97? :)
Rob Glover ran the old F-body.org site, which is where this event and that original gathering in Atlanta came from, which I was a big part of (and still am on the mailing list believe it or not), but my car was/is polo green. I assume you are a caddy convert from the good old days of the OG gathering? ;) pm me, we can reminisce.
Well I'll be...
PS Is there a better plan to keep the vehicles in the hotel parking lot overnight this time? We stopped going to Memphis for a reason way back when...
If you're referring to Memphis 98 when vehicles got stolen, that has only happened that one time, and having no security and staying around the corner from Graceland were the main issues there.
Now we pay for overnight security gaurds, contract for specific allocated space in the parking lot at the hotel, including barricades, and we don't stay in high crime areas. To my knowledge we have not had a problem with Memphis since.

Yeah- we stopped going to Memphis after that ;) We had paid security that year as well, they just didn't do anything when people drove off in the cars, trucks, trucks towing trailers, etc.
I'm sure the location is the big difference- I just looked and you're staying in a decidedly less urban area! Not too far from where a bunch of us almost got lynched by a couple good ole boys in a big truck for having yankee license plates at the wrong gas station ;)
Very cool that this is happening still/again!
We've been back to memphis several times since with good results, so I'm hopeful for another great event.
The food is definately better in Memphis, too. :-)
back to the top, only 3ish weeks left.
Registration closes Saturday night at midnight, anyone wishing to register after that will have to pay in person at the event hotel or at the track, but road racers MUST sign up and be tech'd at the event hotel on Thursday night, no Morning-of signups will be accepted.
