A little over a month ago I did my first ever track day and I had a blast!
There is a new road course being built in New Orleans, and if you haven't heard of them yet check them out at http://www.nolamotor.com
The track is 2.7 miles long, but the configuration that I ran was only 1.8 miles.

I know I left a good bit of time out on the track, but for my first time I think I did pretty good. I was limited alot by the brakes. I was running Hawk HPS+ front and rear, but they would get hot and greasy after about 3 laps. I could have hit higher speeds on the straight, but when the one time I did, it was not pretty getting it slowed down so I just stayed with 120 for the top speed. I need to start looking at brake ducting options, and a better race day pad choice. Anyway if you have never tried this, DEFINITELY give this a try, you won't regret it.
