I've been tracking the interest rates on leases via a thread on Edmunds Town Hall, as I'll be leasing the Vagon that I ordered about a month ago, and I'm trying to make sure that I'm getting the proper rate when the car arrives and I sign for it. Have their been any people that have leased a V recently that can tell me what your lease information is? I don't care about payment, because that's highly variable based on purchase price, taxes, down payment, etc..., just residual, interest rate, term and what the GM Lease Cash award is.
Last month I was considering leasing a new wagon and between Ally and the dealer my payment was going to be a little over $800 with a 53% residual. I didn't go any further because I haven't made up my mind. I'd like to hear what you find too.
I have a little different motive than most (because I'm planning on buying mine out at term, leasing only for tax advantages through wife's business). I got the buyout to just over $30k (36 mo), $5k down, $998/mo - I think it was 2.2% after doing the calculations. 12k/yr if that matters. $4500 lease cash I believe.
So, the gross cost is $36,000 (payments), I assume with tax, and the down payment to title, etc. For a goal, from you, of $41,000. Add the $4500 lease cash credit, and we barely cover list price considering your buyout value. Looks to be a very good deal.
