ATS 3.6 V6, 0-60 4.7s, quarter mile 13.0, 60-0 109 ft, and 3399 lbs.

This is my first post, correct me if I am in the wrong section.

I like the first post at the bottom asking how the author (Kyle Busch) knows so much about the ATS.

Interesting.

What is more interesting is the article credited bukagambar.info. What was that about?

This is what I get when I google bukagambar.info: http://bukagambar.info/page/1

G (http://bukagambar.info/page/1)iven that this car hasn't been out and available to anyone other than GM personnel, how can Mr. Busch have any credibility?

I wasn't questioning their credibility, their reports seemed accurate and insightful, I wonder if they have some unusual sources.

where in the article does it credit bukagambar or whatever as their source?

i couldn't find a link or a text mention

i would guess that it's the usual sources ... just unusual decoys (and isn't that kind of what decoys are for?)

the more unusual the source the less you're thinking 'is this a decoy/disinformation?'

Welcome aboard, Atswatcher! And thank you for signing up. Well - 0-60 in 4.7 seconds would be absolutely amazing! As well as the 13.0 quarter mile. Let's hope the real deal isn't too far away...

Thanks. I won't be surprised if those numbers turn out true. The ATS is a 3 series fighter, it needs these numbers.

i couldn't find a link or a text mention ...Right under the two-red-car photo under Kyle Busch's name (upper left), it shows a credit to bukagambar.info.

Decoy? Yeah, I didn't think of that.

Not sure I buy it. But if it's true...wow.

that .info site is probably where the photos are credited to ...

the source of the information in the article isn't stated in the article itself so it could be anything from Ackerson himself down to a parking lot attendant

I won't get my hopes up on the numbers as with more power and less weight even the Nissan 370Z isn't there - but I bet the ATS will be "close"...

Not likely those numbers are true. First, the BMW 335 has 300 lb. ft. of torque. It is also widely known that it really dynos at around 320-330 HP and TQ. With its fast shifting 8 sp auto it most likely will be quicker than the 6 cyl ATS. Also, I doubt that the extra 50 HP and 40 TQ will make the 6 cyl ATS faster than the 2.0 turbo ATS. The 2.0 turbo ATS with a tune should be even faster than the 6 cyl and get better MPG to boot.

Nope. He mentions the base model weight and the 0-60 of the V6 in two different sections of the article.

Take a look at Nissan's V6 torque curve and you will understand why.

At the Denver Auto Show, the rep was emphatic that the car was 3400lbs FULLY loaded so the removal of options would just make it go down. Not saying I take this as truth or anything, just relaying what they're putting out there.

I don't take those reps' words unless its our boy in Detroit...

I'll be interested to see how many of these numbers pan out in the real world, because a few are different than what my literature says.
