The thing is i had lost one of the original remotes to my esv, so i bought a new one and the dealer programed it for me. Now i found the "lost" remote and want to program it on the truck again, but the dealer now wants 40usd to program it, so if some one knows i could save me some bucks...thanks

When I bought my truck (02 EXT), they didn't have the remotes. I finally hounded the bastards enough that they gave me a remote for it. So I programmed per the instructions on the site. The problem is, if I unlock it with the key and put the key in the ignition, my seats/mirrors go to the Driver 1 positions, which is what I like. However, if I unlock it with the remote and put the key in the ignition, nothing happens and I have to hit the button on the door. I'm assuming it's because the remote isn't programmed for Driver 1? How do I fix this?

To program the Driver 1/ Driver 2 in a 02 Escalade the dealership has to do it with their Tech 2. My 2002 didn't have the Driver 1/2 designations on the remote, but they programmed the remote I carry all the time to be Driver 1 for me with their Tech 2. However, the 02 EXT should have come with Driver 1/2 pre-programmed.

I bought mine used about a month ago and they didn't give me remotes with it. It's not a big deal, I can live without it or pay them to do it if I really decide I need it. Thanks for the input.
