I'm debating on leasing or buying and wanted to get an idea of how much you guy's are paying for your lease and under what terms. I emailed one local dealer to get a ball park figure and he replied with $1500 a month with $800 down for 24 months, that seems high to me. Just yesterday I leased a loaded GMC Acadia for the wife that stickered at 45K for $405 a month for 36 month with $1000 down. Oh, and the only option I had the dealer quote was the satin wheels and I get GM employee discount. What do you guys think?
That's crazy. You should be in the high 700's low 8's depending on options with only first month, taxes, and tags due at signing. This is through Ally for a 36 month. And that was a year ago. I'm sure people are doing better now.
Those numbers don't add up for a $73k car. The residuals seemed to have dropped a bit, and their money factor has risen, at least in my area. Leasing a car in the $70k-plus price range usually nets you a $850-$1000 payment depending upon incentives and credit score. Taxes on a purchase this large are huge by themselves.
I just did an Ally deal with GMS and loyalty. Car sticker was $73K came to $808/mo for 39 months with Ally paying the first month. Total due on delivery was $450. Residual was something like 53% (I think).
I went through John Edwards at Lafontaine. They did not have the manual trans car I wanted and went through the dealer trade process to get the car that I wanted. Have purchased three cars from them. Since you are down in Flat Rock I am going to say that they will either bring the car to you or you can do the deal at one of their stores that is closer to you. I have purchased two cars from him without ever setting foot in the store. 248-887-4747. jedwards@lafontainemotors.com
I leased and I went through James Quinn at Les Stanford Cadillac in Dearborn, MI. Call Les Stanford and ask for James Quinn and tell him the good old doc from L.A. sent you. He is the best I have ever dealt with and right in your backyard. I got my last 4 new Cadillacs through James and he had the best price and best lease rate.
In reading this thread i decided to contact James. He has been extremely helpful and very quick to reply to my questions the last couple days. He worked out 8 pricing options for me. 4 on a manual sedan, and 4 on a manual coupe. Hopefully ill be back in a V soon after being out of my V1 the last couple years.
I also spoke to James and he was very quick to give me every possible combination of leases as well as purchase price and I was very happy... With GMS pricing the lease for 39 months was $681 with 10K miles with roughly $1k due at signing. Now I just have to decide what to order..

Whoa whoa... What state are you in?? Did you select recaros?? The pricing he gave me was more, prob due to options selected and state tax rates? Texas is 6.25%
I was still happy with the pricing he provided though. Now i need to decide coupe or sedan and whether or not to wait a month or so and order a 2013.
Aww that makes sense then. I didnt specify Raven, so he quoted me Black Diamond + Recaro's + Sunroof and Manual Trans. Recaros alone added $3,400 + $1k for paint, plus sunroof cost.. My quote was about $110 more per month.
Looks like James is quoting some really good lease rates! I am paying $760.00 per month including tax on my 2011 Black Diamond V Coupe on an Ally lease. Nobody could come close to his deal. James is by far the best I have ever dealt with. If you are looking to buy or lease, I would urge everyone to give him a shot.
I live in Los Angeles and James is about 2,000 miles away in Dearborn, MI. James orders the car the way you want and has it shipped from the factory directly to your local Cadillac dealer and you pick the car up from your local dealer. James will send you paperwork to sign and send back to him and that's really all there is to it. He is very easy to deal with and he does everything on his end to ensure a smooth buying/leasing proess. I have gotten my last 4 new Cadillacs from him and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The guy works pure magic in getting cars built and shipped faster than I have ever seen in all my years buying GM vehicles. I don't think anyone comes close to his pricing and attention to detail in his customer service dealings. Try him out and you will see for yourself. Drop him an email and get the ball rolling.
Yea this is what got me excited about a coupe. If i was going to buy used, it would likely have to be an 09 (meaning sedan) and they are still around $40-45k (approx $800-900/mo). If i can lease a brand new one for that or less seems like a good deal to me. I have never kept a car past 3 years and have been lucky to just break even when selling my past vehicles. I work 1.8 miles from home, so mileage restrictions are not much of a concern for me.
The only issue would be/could be mods, but i dont plan to do much more than the upper pulley/isolator and I am sure i will have no issues finding someone with a stock snout/pulley willing to swap out for free in 3 years.
I went to my local dealer yesterday just to make a final choice on color, seats, etc.. and of course they said they could match Jame's pricing to which i replied, "this was Jame's up front pricing, i didnt have to show pricing from a competitor to get him to come down to this".
I just emailed James my final list of specs I want, and 12:30pm on a Sunday afternoon he replies to my email within 2 minutes saying thanks and he will get me revised pricing first thing Monday. Try emailing your local dealer on a Sunday and see how long it takes them to reply
James is the best when it comes to high maintenance guys like us! He doesn't waste any time getting back to us and taking care of all our questions via email, day or night. Where can you find a dealer that will do this for you anywhere? Nowhere.
