Has anyone changed the emblems to gold? I read about using fishing line to remove the old ones. Any info would be helpful...thanx

Fishing line, heat gun, goo gone and maybe a soft vinyl putty knife.

Ya I just took my lettering all off because I like the clean debadged look. Used a heat gun and fishing line. Most of the glue came off with your fingernails and the rest I cleaned off with car wax/cleaner. Gold emblems...are u sure? :)

I liked the gold emblems myself also, but a lot of the times when I see escalades with good emblems there really tarnished and look like shit. You probably have to keep up with the polishing a lot

If you want gold emblems you have to spend the money, the cheaper ones just do not hold up as said, I have customers that have spent $1000.00 for complete emblem kits, that look as good 5 year later as they did when we installed them, so look around if that is what you really want, and one more thing, idiots will try to steal them if given the chance. :(

My Fleetwood needs new gold emblems, I don't mind paying for quality. Does anyone know who manufacturers the high quality 24k emblems? (Mr. HC)

I know someone who purchased gold emblems from these people, I believe they have a 3 year warranty, they were really nice, I installed them for the guy, and have seen them for at least 2-3 years and they look great, but I don't know anything about the company

Can also try Big Daddy Caddy on eBay, I've bought other stuff from him and it was always good OEM stuff.

Use a 3M wheel to remove the sticky stuff from under the old emblems. Works great!

What is a 3M wheel? WD-40 and Goo-Gone works wonders for me.
