I am rebuilding a N* out of a 1997 STS. One of the connecting rods is bad and I bought another piston/rod assembly off of Ebay. They look to be the same but the numbers stamped on the connecting rods is different. The ones out of the N* motor have 474/475 stamped on them and the one I bought has 426/427 stamped on it. Anyone know what this number means? Will the one I bought off Ebay work? Pics are attached. Any help is very much appreciated.
Usually casting numbers are time/date production identification & that would be the only difference for the different year model groups.
