My V has suffered a hard winter. What is on everyone's to-do list for the spring? I've already bought all my parts and things, but I just need to find the time and some nice weather to do it all. Here's mine:

1. Install new brake pads, rotors and fluid.
2. Install new FG2's, and then 4-wheel alignment.
3. Install new passenger-side mirror.
4. Get my damaged accessory wheel fixed, or put on my new spare.
5. Flush the clutch fluid...it's shifting terrible and is very notchy in every gear.
6. Maybe replace some mounts and bushings.
7. Fix the hanging handle in the rear seat.
8. Fix the hanging sail panel (or whatever you want to call it).
9. Install Silverstars in my high beams
10. Change the diff fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid.
11. Complete detailing (it's a mess).
12. Maybe order new buttons for the Nav unit.
13. Get the HP tuner and remove my skip shift (I still have it!) and the stupid 149 mph limiter.
14. Plastidip the front bumper.

What is everyone else planning?

Mstrjon, shame on you for putting #13 so low in the order. :thepan:

Otherwise, nice list.

Mine?

First thing I'm doing is installing Killernoodle's trailing arms, hopefully this week.

Second, have to take it in and have three little dings taken out from my son opening my wife's car door into it while in the garage.

Third, change diff fluid.

Fourth, meet up with a few guys around here at Baker's restaurant first Sunday in May.

Yeah, yeah...they're both really annoying, but it was hard to justify the $499 for the HPtuner just to do those two things. But, if a deal I'm working on goes through, there is going to be a certain turbo-powered GM car I've been lusting after for a while in my garage pretty soon that will make much better use of the tuner.

Will do. I hear the shop down in Landsthul is a lot nicer than the one we have here...maybe I'll take a ride down there.

Sign up for more track events. I will be at Summit Point with the Porsche club on April 6-7. I hope to get to NJMP Thunderbolt as well with them. Maybe find a Watkins Glen and/or VIR event.

So, the usual replace all fluids namely oil change to 5w40 (M1 5w30 over winter), rear diff and bleed brakes (bleed again before any more events).

1. Find a PS2 tire to have 4 good ones to mount to Accessory wheels for summers/wet track. Or just mount the 2 Dunlop Star Specs and play around with front and rear grips to see if they make a difference with handling.
2. Install CS diff bushing and block that is on the workbench for months. Who has the tool??
3. Spring detail (after Summit Point since there will be tire rubber marks on her)
4. Clear the signals, since I recently bought some used smoked side markers. Already disabled the orange DRLs, but I want the orange gone.

Yup...the shop is VERY nice....the one Vogelweh has 20 bays...pretty impressive set-up...and ALL the tools and machines you could EVER need....

BTW...I believe the bay and lift are $5 an hour...or $20 for the day....

Hit up Luke @ Lindsay Cadillac. Just tell him which ones you need and the faceplate. No need for part numbers. The buttons, any of them, are $8 a piece, faceplate is $35. I'll be tackling this project one weekend when I get my V back as well - got all parts sittin in the garage now...

4. Get my damaged accessory wheel fixed, or put on my new spare.
5. Flush the clutch fluid...it's shifting terrible and is very notchy in every gear.
6. Maybe replace some mounts and bushings. -- Need to get the sway bar bushings and diff carrier bushing ordered.
7. Fix the hanging handle in the rear seat.
8. Fix the hanging sail panel (or whatever you want to call it).
9. Install Silverstars in my high beams
10. Change the diff fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid.

I've been crossing things off the list slowly. Got the bumper plastidipped last weekend and cleaned up, polished, and installed the summer wheels today. The whole car still needs a proper washing and waxing, however...
