Anyone have any trouble shifting into reverse? I took to my dealer and they contacted Cadillac and they said they havn't had any other complaints.

Sometimes you have to put it in 1st, roll a little, and then put it in reverse. This has been a problem with every six speed C5 I've had (4).

I agree with MRR - i'm pretty much used to this as well owning a few 6 speed Camaro SS's and Z28's.

Yup, 1st first, then to reverse. Totally normal.

Yep was the same in my 97 Vette and 00 Camaro SS. Hardest part for me is remembering which way reverse is, its down and to the right in my Z and you have to push the stick down as well.

Well, at least I find some comfort in knowing i'm not the only one with difficulties getting into reverse heh.

Recently my V has been popping out of reverse. I go from first to reverse, start backing up, and then it clunks and pops into neutral. Never happened in first 5500 miles, just happened 4 times this past week or so.

You need a new tranny.
