I removed my trunk liner to clean it and noticed that the carpet in my trunk was soaked on the right side. When I removed the storage compartment in the spare tire well, I discovered 1/8" of standing water. It has been raining frequently here over the last two weeks and due to the liner, the leak went unnoticed. The dealer is going to investigate the cause of the leak, repair it, and replace all the carpeting in the trunk. Has anyone else had/heard of this problem?

i vaguely recall hearing the trunk floor is "sealed"....maybe somebody forgot to seal yours and she leaks from underneath? any competent dealer should be able to check it out

I too have noticed that the passenger side in the rear under the carpet and mat was wet. I couldn't find where water was coming from though.

The dealer said it was a rubber boot that had pulled away from the taillight allowing the water to enter the trunk.
