: Parts List for Timesert Repair

Hi I am planning on having my 1996 N* timeserted and would like to know if anyone has a parts list available for this. I want the mechanic to do any preventative maintenance work that cannot be done while the engine is in the car - gaskets, seals, etc... Thanks Jim

Check the block real good for oil leaks (1/2 case seal). If the case is seeping or the oil pan / oil manifold is leaking repair it when it's out of the car as it's a whole lot easier then if it's back in. Check the rear main seal as well.

Not meaning to highjack this thread, but this is just an FYI question to educate me.

Since the engine/trans in Sevilles is transversely (sp?) mounted, which end is considered "front", the driver side or the pass. side?

I am interested in finding out how long it takes to repair a blown head gasket including engine removal and install
