Got one over the weekend. It's fun to play with and look at.
I didn't do anything other than let it monitor. You can read and clear CELs apparently too.

oh yes the 'torque' app. i love that app. use it to get codes, clear codes, get real time info. it is by far the best app for me.

Are you using the Kiwi bluetooth unit? it's a good one....

BTW, the fewer PIDs you monitor, the faster the sample rate.

It's pretty fast. I'm not using it for a dash so no big deal.
It's a BAFX ELM 327 Bluetooth OBD2 scantool.
$21.50 on amazon. Setup was wicked easy.

Are there any custom PIDs not shown in the menu?

The PLX Kiwi is a great unit. Did you get the Wifi one (iPHONE) or the Bluetooth (Android)?

If you got the Wifi one, then you'll need to also buy one of the APPs that support it. I use REV, and it's been great. You can also piggyback iMFD modules, and get stats outside of the OBDII interface. I have the PLX wideband, for the SL600, as AFR readings are not supported through the OBD interface.
