Says it takes the place of onstar and supports bluetooth calling and a2dp. Sounds perfect...

A friend in Kentucky tried it and it kept draining the battery of his 08 XLR-V. I have it now and will start experimenting with it next month.

I'm mostly interested in steaming music and what I can control from the steering wheel and radio, like forward and back.

I may end up subscribing to xm for a bit until I can find all that out.

The CoStar unit does not support A2DP streaming. I am the one who kept having it hang on and drain the battery. 3 times. It was not reliable in other ways as well. I contacted Galaxy1000 and they say their unit will not work on XLRs. I'm currently going after using a Parrot unit.

The only negative I have heard about the Bluestar unit is it will drain the battery if something hangs up and it does not disconnect. Has anyone tried hooking up the unit to an ignition switched power source so that will disconnect when the car is turned off?
