Greetings my fellow Allante lovers. My windows have stopped working on my 93. I didn't think it was relevant to both windows not working but I disasembled the the switches and cleaned them out (just for fun) to no avail.
Any suggestions as to what to try? Am stummped.
First you need to determine if you have power to the window switch with the ingnition turned on. Itis highly unlikely both windows will quit at the same time. Have you checked the fuse pannel for blown fuses? You most likely have a electrical problem. You need a volt/ohm meter to check where you have 12 volts and beyond what point you don't. Doug-J
Thanks for your input Doug, from what I can gather from the manual there is no fuse for the power windows. Instead it has a RAP circuit breaker, tried disconnecting the battery for a couple hours in hopes of re-setting the breaker, no luck. Guess I'll try my luck with a volt meter.
