Iam going to be buying a used caddy in the next couple of months and would like some pointers on any problems and or trouble points that the northsatr is prone/not prone to with reguards to reliability? I've heard early versions like to leak oil for example is this true? Also FWIW I'am considering a deville, a seville or an eldorado in the 92-96 model year range, all of these cars use the northstar powerplant so I guess any answers you guys give me can be used a guideline for purchasing a used one. Is there any specific trouble spots to watch out for in any these cars? thanks guys for any help on this one guys.

THEY SUCK!!! They are no where near a 4.9! :D OK, I'm just joking.

We had some good threads on this called "4.9 vs. Northstar" and I think there were 2 of them. One in each engine section. Ya, do a search.
