I was thinking the samething. 48 to 50k is what I think is the norm even fully loaded with Nav. Sounds like they didnt deal as well as they could have because of your trade in. For a couple thousand more you could get an 05.

I dont think you could have gotten all the rebates b/c you chose the 0% financing for 5 years.

As for people saying they are offering 12000 off, thats IF you dont take the 0% financing ;)

There is always a tradeoff. You figured if you buy the truck for 47 to 48k @ 3.9 apr. that would yield 4 to 5k in finance charges. But even at 0% isnt bad for the 52k dollar loan. So you are saying they just paid off your 02 and now you are back to a 52k loan?

they did not pay off my loan because my payoff was high because i had financed my wheels when i originally bought the truck. they only gave me 20,000 for my 02 is this a reasonable price my ext had 82,000 miles on it but was in perfect condition. even carrying over what they didnt pay on my trade my payment stayed the same the are now for the 5 years and i am driving a new truck.

p.s. i did get them to include an autostart!!

A good price can be a relative term when you have to figure in all the factors such as trade in value, what the particular dealer tells you he can offer and what you might know about the invoice price.. etc. etc.
As an example I bought my 04 EXT .. listed for 57K.
I told them I'd pay $500.00 over invoice.. which I believe to be 53K from my research.
Financing was 3.25% as I waived the 0% financing in favor of the $5,000.00 discount offered for what they called GM Loyalty.. I've always bought GM trucks.
Also add in a $1,300.00 discount for points on my GM Credit card which brought the price down to $47,200 ..
I traded a 02 Avalache, leather and Z71 with only 12,000 miles and they gave me $22,500 for the trade in value.
I was happy with the deal but it's hard to feel you ever get the best price possible when you buy from a dealer.

Also ..One reason I traded early is that with all the incentive discounts on the New vehicles, it's making the trade in values on used vehicles a lot less so..
I'd say if you're making the same $ payments and have a new vehicle you did good.
Just some info and my opinion.
Regard.. Frank
