Hi, What I am about to post, might sound illogical to all fellow members, and it sounds quite impractical to me also.

This is the deal.

My father wants to buy an EXT, but he specifically doesnt want leather seats. :banghead:
So in spite of this I am coinsidering the following options:

1. Buy the seats from the Avalance Z71 and replace the stock Cadillac seats.

2. Or reupholster the stock Cadillac seats with suede, velour or any other kind of fabric.

How much do you estimate these choices can cost?

Do you have any other ideas?

Once again I know this sounds impractical, but I cant do much about my fathers ideas.

If I dont come up with a good solution in 5 days he is going to buy a Nissan Titan :helpless:

I rather have another fine Cadillac truck in my house rather than Nissan products.

Thanks in Advance,

Mejia

wow. that sucks. i love my leather seats. i didn't think i would when i first got a car with leather. but now i love it.

reupholster would probably be cheaper. but if he doesn't want leather, will he want suede or velour?? i'd just go with the avalanche seats.

it is just a horrible idea in the first place. just get an avalanche then.

So far the best option I have come up with is:

www.katzkin.com

Anyone know how much these kits cost?

The webpage is kind of crazy when trying to build my kit.

Thanks,

Why would anyone not want leather? It doesn't soak up spills, doesnt retain odors, its easy to clean, etc...

I love my leather seats too :) I heard of a Vegan thing where peeps are opting for cloth interiors instead of leather to save the poor Cows and Gator's (Onbagz) I don't know if this is why the father dosen't want leather ???
Peace

I have leather in all 3 of my cars and wouldnt even think about getting cloth

I would just say get the avalanche, or do what caddyshack said, I dont think you would have a problem finding someone that would do it

please dont tell me you actually thought of getting velour, velour belongs on lowrider bicycle seats.
