I have a relatively new 04 esv. I have about 7000 miles on it. Since new I have an annoying power steering moan when I turn the wheel. It is loud enough to be heard while driving at slow speeds up to about 30 mph. I also have a hissing sound out of my AC at low speeds. I have had people ask me what that noise is while we are sitting at a stop light. Its kind of frustrating having to explain the noises to people riding in the vehicle. I do not feel these noises are appropriate out of a 60k+ vehicle however the dealer saids they are normal and there is nothing they can do about them. The ac noise has a service bullitin out that basically saids tough luck, they can't fix it. I have owned several GM suburbans and never experienced these noises before. Has anyone else experienced these noises and had to deal with them?

I can some times hear the AC "hiss" outside the truck, but not inside, and I have no steering noises, at least at this time

I HEARD THE SAME THING!!!! BOTH STEERING AND AC!!! I really hate how its "Tough Luck" I payed enough for my car and i expect it to be quite on the inside. I just wanna :banghead: :want: I got the same exact response from my dealership here in chicago. What a bunch of knuckleheads these guys.

Why does everyone blame the dealers? WE didn't design the vehicle, but we conveniently get blamed for not being able to rectify a DESIGN concern. Try writing Cadillac to voice your opinion. instead of slamming the dealership.

Is there email or a Postal address that concerns can be sent to.
I've had some simple questions I tried to get answers for and though I realize the dealers aren't responsible it is frustrating when you don't know where to turn to to get answers or to voice concerns.
The hotline number they offer is nothing but a pacifier with usually a Secretary saying , Thanks for the info, I feel for you.. !!
Any info would be appreciated.

I just bought a used 02 w/ 55K miles on it and also have that 'whine". it sounds like power steering or front diff noise. I brought it to a 4x4 specialist in Daytona and they said it was normal, not to worry about it? Does anyone agree or disagree?

Same issues with my 99... took it in re:PS noise and got the ol' "could not reproduce issue"... learned to live with it.

I did get a new AC compressor... but that was another issue.
