View Full Version : May switch my 2010 V for 2013 GTr ...

Well, I may go with a 2013 GTr... Your thoughts if you drove both? Own(ed) both... I'm worried for the ride quality and turbos spool. Tested only once, should try it again before buying.

I know I will miss the luxury from the V but since I decided to drive my car during the winter, a GTr will be better than the V being AWD. I had a Z06 I was not driving during the winter and a SVT Mustang also and since I was so mad driving a truck or a STi for 4-5 months, I made the decision I would always drive my primary car during winter. Minimum would be ~4 months because of the mandatory winter tires and cold weather so, don't try to convince me fellow forumers, made this decision a few years ago :)

A few threads speaking of the GTr vs V, IMO two totally different car (M5, E63 are more "similar" to the V)

I'm in Montréal, if anybody know somebody who would like a 2010 V (don't bother to buy a new one, mine is really as new), let me know. If I don't sell, it will answer my question, i'll keep the V :) More difficult here to sell than in the US since the market is smaller and the V is quite rare.

Btw, if a AWD CTS-V would exist, I would be the first one to put a deposit...

If anybody is looking for a "old" thread, there's this one: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/2009-cadillac-cts-v-performance-mods/201391-modified-v2-vs-gtr-question-2.html . Hopefully, comparing newer version of the GTr will not fall in some silly comments. Mainly wondering of people who drove both or own(ed) both what are their opinions...

I am located in Calgary. Good luck with your decision. I don't think the car will go south of the bordure so keep an eye on the forum with Canadians willing to buy a 2010. I am looking, I am almost there with the money and I am no rush to make the purchase as it is -30C here right now. Most probably I will be ready to buy at the end of March or early in April.
If you want you can send me at gcoman at telus dot net some pictures, details (mods, etc), mileage, price and we can start talking.

If I could afford one, I would too. People say the same thing about the V though.

Be careful though; the GTR is very costly just to maintain. If money is of no concern, go to AMS performance out of Chicago. They mod the GTR. This is a Great company. You can get the Alpha GTR which is faster than a Bugatti Veyron.
