2009 CTS-V or BMW 550I

Buying soon. I'm checking both sides of a bias vote, but true thoughts please?

I currently own an 07 Escalade Premium and 05 CTS-V.

I'm on the Bimmer forum as well asking the same question.

I've been a 14 yr. loyal BMW guy owning an 2001 M5, M3 and 740I as well.

1 vote for the CTS-V. If it was a F10 BMW, then it would be closer.

I've also own many BMW's. In the last 5 or 6 years, I really dislike the styling of all the models. I feel the current BMW's are overpriced for the performace you get.

CTS-V all the way. I'd "consider" the new M5, BUT that base price is a deal breaker.

There was an exact thread just like this.. with the exact same thread name infact.

http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/2009-cadillac-cts-v-general-discussion/248306-cts-v-vs-550i.html
bottom line
V2 VS E60 550i
pick the V2.
V2 vs F10 550i
pick the V2, unless you want a car with creature comforts vs an all out performance car.

The other thing that I didnt cover was that the V2 is a special vehicle, it has character, it's fun to drive, it's show-offish, it'll probally be more reliable (or at least the powertrain is bullet-proof) and in the long run, hold it's value better.

Was invited to test drive the F10 550.
Decent power but too well insulated.
I like some rawness in my cars. There was absolutely no engine/exhaust sound heard.
Felt like I was driving a small 7 series.
No thanks, get the Caddy...
