Wha... No headroom in the original. Now you pull in your neck like a turtle to keep from bumping the headliner. DUH!

The proportions are way off. Everything below the belt line is so..... bulky. Was that intentional or a mistake in photoshop? If it was JUST a chop (and maybe not so severe), it might look good.

Reshop it with just the roof altered, I'm curious now, lol.

Thankfully that's not a real car, that's a photoshop (either that or you managed to align the midpoint of the car to 1 pixel along its entire length).

I'll risk turning all Eldo owning forum members against me and say......I kind of like it. (sorry) Maybe a tad too low though?

OK on a '49 Merc. Looks plain weird on the Eldorado, with or without "ground effects" (!!!). George Barris would approve..............

Here you go - almost a carbon copy of my '49, back in the late 50's. (not black, though.....)

Atend the Roof a little further back to the trunk add another inch onto the top
and make the roof a removable hard top like the Allante and maybe you have something
but if not
then it needs to go for shark bate

If you want some high sided, slit window coupe there are plenty to chose from in the marketplace, either new or used. Why wreck a perfectly good Eldorado?

Probably because he wants to, and he can :thepan: That's my first guess anyway.

The entire purpose of a top chop is to enhance the looks of the vehicle. Some of the best top chops are so subtle that it is hard to tell if it has been done. Something like what has been shown is crazy, and probably not even doable as the car has curved side glass, which can't be cut. The Eldo has nice proportions in my opinion, just leave it alone.

THANKS!!! I now have nightmares of returning home to find my new (to me) and beloved 1998 ETC disfigured in this manner...she is the same color. Please tell me the picture wasn't taken in east Windsor ct?! Lol
That being said. I can appreciate the effort but not the result.

that picture is...not good. Since we're talking "what ifs", I think it would have been awesome if GM would have made the Eldorado as a true pillarless hardtop. Probably wouldnt have done much for the rigidity of the body though.
