I am looking at getting rid of my 2006 STS4 Pearly white, with 36xxx with Navigation and lots more features...with the exception of HUD/HID lights. The car is clean inside out with no dents or scratches..Onstar equipped, i have warranty on it but i will cancel it before selling...I am currently asking for $20500, is that too much or reasonable? I would like to know what you members think, Btw im located in Virginia. Thanks

You aren't even close. I paid that much for my loaded 2006 STS4 a little over 2 years ago. It's not difficult to get a blue book value or go to ebay and see what they have sold for. Here is one comparable . It sold for $12900 on Ebay a couple of days ago. Tell us what do you think!

Asking price and selling price are two different things. Just go in and offer to sell it to them. See what they say.

The STS that sold on eBay had an "insurance loss title", "odometer problem", "salvage/auction records". According to the cars description, the seller replaced the roof skin and windshield and I would imagine alot of other parts. Sounds like a roll-over to me. Soooo-we aren't compareing apples to apples. You might have a shot at your asking price. Down side is that the STS is discontinued and has never been a great seller. I traded an 06 STS 1SG a year and a half ago on a new CTS. The Cadillac dealer gave me $19.5 and sold it for $22k. The car was pristine with 18k miles. Good Luck!

Not quite a fair comparison since it states it has a rebuilt title.

Ouch, yeah, rebuild/salvage is a pretty major hit on resale.

I say $14K max for an individual sale

dealer could get $1000-1500 more....but they can provide warranty and financing

do people know about kelley blue book? I don't understand why people ask "what is my vehicle worth" questions...

Personally, it seems like a high, but not wholly unreasonable asking price as long as you are open to negotiation. List it at that on craigslist or whatever, if you don't get any bites, you may want to drop in price. KBB and NADA are nice, but they don't dictate the market. I would guess you could, if properly marketed, get 16k for it without the warranty. If you include the warranty, you could get more and further incentivize potential buyers.

I suspect they are fishing for buyers.

If you want to post an ad use the Classifieds sections of the site.

You've got some actual $$ comments, in addition to the easily predicted website suggestions.

And since the tone is slipping into name-calling territory... Let's call this thread done.
