View Full Version : Need Help...again! Engine will not start

Hi Everybody!
I am hoping someone can help! I live in Denver, CO and I have a 2008 Escalade with 40k miles that will not start. A beautiful amber colored engine light has appeared on the dash. It is cold outside, but my Escalade is parked in a garage. Anyway, my truck will not start. I can lock/unlock and the lights come on, but the engine makes this click or pop sound after turning the key multiple times. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

P.S. I connected a battery charger, and set it to a 50-amp start, and that did not help.

2008 with 40k? To the dealer quick, its still under powertrain warranty!

Charge it for a few hours on the 20-40A setting. Your battery is probably toast, a new one is pretty cheap at $75. Less than a tank of gas!

If your battery is stock you did good, replace it and you will be fine, check cables at that time

I have it connected to a 10-A charger. I hope that fixes it... Thanks for the quick responses!

You should take it to the dealer, I got my battery replaced twice under warranty before I sprung for the dual battery setup

yep they will replace it under warranty if you are still with in your warranty. If not go find a interstate battery and replace it your self. I did 3 years ago and it is still good.
