: Audio Input in my 2005 STS for MP3 player?

Hi!

I hope everyone is doing good and ready for the Holidays! I've searched all over for this and can't figure it out. Does my car (2005 sts) have an input for audio? I've been told the back side of the inside of center console. I checked in there though and my doesnt have that. The car doesn't have a tape player, so besides those crappy FM transmitors do I have any other option? I have a 6 disc cd player, do MP3 CD's work in it? I've read they do in the manual, but mine doesn't say MP3 on the actual CD player (not sure if others do). Ideally I would like to hook up my MP3 player though.

As usual, any help/advice is MUCH appreciated!

The Nav/Radio has the inputs (RCA jacks for video & stereo audio) & supports MP3 CD's (not DVD's). A lockpick is needed to prevent the Nav display being interupted when the car is in motion.

If the only need is for audio-in, I'd use one of the referenced aftermarket solutions or the like.

Do I need to get one of those jacks to listen to my ipod?

The console input jacks only come with the Navigation. If you have an actual Apple product, be sure to get the right cable if you attempt to use input jacks.

I'd recommend an aftermarket add-on as recommended by other members.

I believe all STS built with RPO YQ4 have the AV RCA (baseband) jacks. If yours was upgraded to Nav, who knows?

No STS had factory iPod docking.
