I found a web site that advertizes engine cradles for the Caddy BB (other motors also). It looks like a pretty nice piece but I think I'm gunna fab my own.......any reason to use my welder.:D

Id probally build my own too if I had the need. I use my folding engine stand right now for building engines on, but I might build a cradle like that to store the ol 425

I have an engine stand but it's junk......one of those $29 dollar deals. I guess I got what I paid for.:rolleyes:
I'm sending my 500 out to be built by a shop so I don't really need a stand. I just need something to wheel the motor around the garage on until I'm ready to put it in the truck.......something like this should work pretty well. The engine stand isn't stable enough and is hard to move.

I used one of those 3 legger engine stands only once. that was the last time i used one like it. I had a 6 banger jeep motor on it and was rotating it and the whole stand flipped! layed right over on it's side. I was angered to say the least. luckly it was the junker that i just pulled out.
