I've had this ESV for about 9 months now and knew there had to be a way to pop the rear glass without the key fob. I finally discovered the hole where there used to be a switch. Anyone know the part number and how hard it is to replace?

There is a way to open it with without the fob? I never thought about it but my new 2011 doesn't have one. Where is the switch supposed to be located?

The button is above the licence plate off to the right, it's about a quarter size black button on my '08

Beat me to it. All that's left of mine is the outer ring, looks like the button part either broke off or got shoved into the hatch.

For the part number and installation I would recommend going to the dealership, just to ensure that you get the correct part for your specific vehicle, and to make sure that it is installed correctly. Let us know how it goes.

I have seen this posted a few times, usually after a break in, it seems some theives by shoving a screwdriver into the button release have gained access by doing this, this seems much harder than just hitting the drivers side lock with a hammer and screwdriver

Stuff you learn from the repo business, I just don't want anymore Escalade's, how many does someone really need anyway. ;)
