Hey guys,

I wanted to get your input on a few things. First off this is what I will be switching my parking lights bulbs out for:

http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED-Bulbs/Back-Up-LED/White-LED/6K-WHITE-68-LED-BULBS-p9594378-1-2.html

For fogs, 55W, 10,000K - This is just honestly for show:

http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/DDM-HID-Kit-Slim-Ballast-35W-or-55W

Now for DRL's, I'm not sure. I want LED but not sure what to go with. These seem pretty expensive to go with:

http://www.v-leds.com/5202-9009-H16/LED-Bulbs/sc492922-1-2//page/1/checkForLanding/true

I don't know though, what do you recommend, all input welcome even on the park/fog choices too.

Thanks!

Edit: These DRL's look better priced: http://store.ijdmtoy.com/5202-H16-LED-Driving-Fog-Light-Bulbs-p/led_fog_5202_sku_4e.htm

There parking led's also look the same as vleds, I wonder which is better? http://store.ijdmtoy.com/68-SMD-T10-168-194-921-LED-Bulbs-p/led_t10_sku_c01.htm

For the parking lights, I thing those may be too long to fit properly. I have these:
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED-Bulbs/Gauge-Cluster-LED/White-LED/5K-WHITE-13-LED-LIGHT-p8804828.html

For the fogs, I think the lights you show are nice...they are going to be very blue at 10,000K...and bright.

For the DRL's I have the ones you list above in 5K (http://www.v-leds.com/5K-WHITE-28-LED-13W-DRLFOG-p9619283-1-2.html) and think they look very good.

My only comment is that you're front lights are going to be all over the place in terms of colors.:
stock HID's are 4300K
Your fogs are going to be 10000K
and your parking lights are going to be 6000K

I don't know if I like the real long array of leds because it might look funny if you can see it through the lens. The HID's should be sweet. It seems like they are plug and play because the escalade bulb type is listed. Let me know if they require housing mods or plug cutting. I do like those 7.5 watt bulbs becuase they are sleek but the light is probably too dim.

the hid's don't require any mods to the housing but you will have to make a mount spot for the ballast but i do recommend going with 5000k to get the best look to light ratio trust me blue light is unsafe and in some states illegal and on the drl's i used the 3watt led from superbrightled.com if you want a pic let me know.

Thanks for the input guys, is there any way to find out what is the max length of bulb that will fit for the parking or DRL's?

And why is there such a big difference in pricing between the DRL's:

Before you buy, check out eBay. A lot of times the bulbs you get from china/hong kong are exactly the same as the ones you pay 5x the price for from a us seller. Even if the quality is a bit less, I usually can buy 4-5 sets of bulbs for what they cost elsewhere. I've rarely been disappointed. Just read the descriptions carefully to know what your buying. And stick with a common color...5000k is close to stock. 10000k will look purple.

I'll echo Elusive's comment...don't be that guy that has colors all over the place. It looks sloppy. I just did the complete LED conversion and I went with 4300K all the way around. They are actually still very blue, I can't imagine how much worse the higher colors must be.

I'd recommend staying 4300 on all of your lights if you can. I'm very happy with it.

Right there on the link to the DRL you are using, they tell you that they don't fit an Escalade and they link you to the lower output shorter bulbs. What's the deal?

No clue honestly. I just looked back through my order to confirm that's what I got.
This is right off my order:
5202_28_W_6K
V-LEDS 6K HID WHITE 28 LED 2X BRIGHTER OUTPUT DRL/FOG BULBS 5202 9009 H16

I had no issues installing them and they have been in for almost a year. Weird.

Anyone know how to get the airbox and washer fluid container out of the way? I want to install the bulbs without removing the headlights.

Can anyone give me detailed instructions on which screws have to come off and their location?

You dou not have to take the air box or the washer fluid out. Take the top bolts out and pull the light forward. It will pop out enough to get your hands in to change the bulbs. I replaced the DRL and the parking lights. The fog bulbs were replaced with with 6000k bulbs and a 12 inch strip of small white LEDs were added between the lights. If someone could tell me how to add pictures, I'd like to show it off.

I have a grille guard on and I don't want to take it off to pull the light out so that's why I want to do it from the back. I've heard people have done it but I want some details on exactly what to do with the airbox and washer fluid container to get to the bulbs.

Can someone also tell me what is the longest size bulbs that will fit the parking light and DRL? Is 1.65in too long for parking light?

I skipped the LEDs after reading reviews that they were not bright enough (Candlepowerforums.com), too long, or that individual LEDs on the stem would fail repeatedly. So I went with regular bulbs to better match the color which is my goal. Brighter would also be better. And I did not want to do a HID conversion on the fogs, cost and concern about the heat on the plastic housing.

I used these and both available on Amazon at the time of this post:
Running Lamps : PIAA 19172 168 Xtreme White Bulb : $10.99/set
Fog Lamps: Halo Automotive Icis Blue H10/9145 (says 4500K color) : $16.58/set

So for under $30 and less than an hour, easy once you know how they turn and reseat, I got my lights in the same color spectrum and made my running lights slightly brighter than stock. In my opinion, matched colors is the way it should have looked stock. It may not be spot on but it's really close. And yes, other lights might be brighter but for the cost, effort and reliable bulb solution, I am pleased with the results. Comparison pic attached.

Enjoy and good luck!

Quick Update:

- I tried SilverStars in the fog lamps. Little brighter but more yellow than and a lot more expensive than the Halos. (more yellow than HIDs but better than stock bulbs) I went back with the Halo Automotive. If they do not like bright, make sure both fog lamps are aligned. One of mine was off. Adjuster by the bulb on the inside of the bumper.
- For Daytime Running Lamps I put these in, Putco Nitro Blue H16/9006 Type Pure Halogen Premium Lighting Replacement Bulb. $25/pair Color is 6k but what I see is a nice white with spots of blue in the reflector. It looks brighter and more up to date than the stock bulbs.
- I used the PIAA 19172 for my entrance/exit lights in the mirrors and in the license plate lights. Super easy to swap these.
- I sort of like the warm glow for the interior so may leave those as is.

Enjoy!

My fog lights are way off as far as alignment. I'm guessing the inner wheel well shroud has to be removed to be able to align?
