I let my sub run out on my 2008 STS.
To renew it's like $200/yr. Does anyone know if they "deal" on these subs like they do on XM?

There are a few discount offers but they aren't as attractive as XM. Last Spring, Onstar offered six-months free. I just canceled and they had a couple short-term deals around #10/month. I never used it.

For me? With Bluetooth for my phone and a recent Nav disk, it's still not worth it.

Hello all,

Just renewed my Emergency/Turn by Turn plan for $249.99 ($50.00 off $300.00). The same $50.00 discount applies to the Emergency Only plan bringing it to $149.99. Plus tax in both cases. However, if you ask you can probably get 15 months instead of 12 months service for the prices quoted above. I just did.

Of course, you have to play the game and call to cancel in which case you are referred to the renewal department, sound familiar?

If you are going to renew anyway or undecided a 10 minute phone call can probably get you a $50 discount and 25% increase in length of service.

Happy holidays and good luck if you make the call.

My safe & sound subscription expires tomorrow, so I called and told them I wanted to cancel unless they gave me what I wanted which was 15 months for $148.92. She finally agreed and also rolled over the 52 calling minutes I had left, that were about to expire next month, for another year. I'm happy.
