Hey I just have 2 quick questions...

first, would a 2006 cts-v have HID headlamps considering the 06-07 cts with sport pkg. came with oem HID's i dont see why GM would downgrade back to halogen for the "V" lineup

also, are there any other 6 bolt pattern oem wheels which would fit our cts-v and look pretty good?

:yeah:

You can look at the Team Dynamics wheels that are out there. Those would be my only choice if I was up for changing wheels.

They only came painted silver from GM. Any chrome ones were chromed aftermarket.

Those accessory wheels are polished, and that also is the only way they came.

Also, most 275/40-18's require a 9" wide wheel or bigger. The V wheel is 8.5" wide. Though most people aren't bothered by that. Just FYI.

Yup....not bothered by it....I run 275/35s on the rear stock rims...no issues....plenty of fast enduring runs on the German, French & Dutch AutoBahns (~140mph)....and several Nurburgring runs.

However....you are very correct...the right size rim for 275 size tire is a 9" wide rim or bigger...

STS-V rims can fit with the addition of a small spacer

do you find that the 275 tires tends to wear out quicker than stock size? besides looking more muscular, is there any benefits and negatives i should know about?
