: 2012 Nav System Voice Command Access

Had an interesting experience with the Nav voice command on our new SRX. For the life of me, I could not get the Nav system to recognize navigation/radio/CD/DVD, etc commands. The system would only go into what is called the 'Main Menu' - that menu having Bluetooth, OnStar status, Turn-by-Turn Directions, etc. I read and re-read (and re-read) the Nav system manual and just could not get the system to recognize my 'Navigation', Destination' , etc voice commands. Finally, after a 'Doh!' moment, I realized you have to HOLD the 'SRCE' button on the steering wheel for a good 2 seconds-ish to access the voice commands I desired. After I figured that out, everything works as described in the manual. So, a brief push of the 'SRCE' button gets you the 'Main Menu' and a prolonged push of the button gets you into the 'voice command' functions.

Not sure if anyone else has run into this situation, but I figured solving *my* stupidity may help others with a similar frustration...

I understand this may also work on 2011 vehicles that are Bluetooth enabled...

Cheers!
