I have a 2002 Escalade with a stock stereo/CD changer. I was thinking of putting in a navigation system. Any recommendations from anyone? I want to keep the look a sleek as possible.

kenwood. do a search and you'll find pics of one. it's screen will mount (with some work) where the stock HU is and look real clean.

Yes and here it is http://www.kenwoodusa.com/product/product.jsp?productTypeId=37&sortBy=price&productId=2557

But if you want to buy at a reasonable price check on Ebay for this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=79834&item=5729235107&rd=1

This is what I plan to get even if my truck has a factory Nav. This Kenwood is the only double din touchscreen according to them.

The Eclipse AVN2454 is in my opinion the best on the market. Has every feature you can think of. Alpine's new model isn't out yet, so I think this is the best at the moment.

The AVN2454 seems to be a great unit but where is the DD 5.1?

If it has DD5.1 then it might be a better deal than the Kenwood. I couldnt find it anywhwere.

There is a Dolby Digital symbol right when you click on the link. This is by far the elite in screens right now. I have not yet purchased one because I know the price is going to drastically drop, especially when the new Alpine one comes out hehe. There's one bidding at around 1K on ebay! Although that's cheap, I'd get one from authorized dealer b/c of the 3 year warranty. I just love everything about this screen, it's so sleek looking, the Kenwood looks like a toy or something to me.

I do see the Dolby Digital so I guess I would assume it has it. If I could get it for a hellava deal way below retail then I would jump on it. Out of all my electronic purchases, the only time something blew on me is when I damaged it myself or the one refurbished pre/pro I bought it went bad a week later. Outside of that I NEVER had to use the factory warranty.
