Been eying one of these cars for a bit now. Finally pulled the trigger the other week and landed a black 2005 STS Northstar with 58k miles for $12k!

I am loving this car so far!

Big improvement from my 1997 deville.

Bought my Northstar 05 in August. Beware of the stock tires! About a month ago I tried coming to a stop in the rain (30 mph) and my car slid right into the car in front of me due to poor tire traction. I noticed how bad these tires were in the rain since I got the car and was going to replace them, but decided to wait till I wore them out. Would've ended up saving some money if I did the swap lol. Anyways, have fun with the car and look into new tires as one of your first upgrades.

The tires that came with it are amazing in the rain. The day we bought it we had a nasty downpour in the philly area and it handled nicely.

I don't know what tires are on it. I will have to look in the morning.

Maybe in a couple months I will try to add the nav unit to it since that seems like an easy mod.

I'm talking about the stock 17" rim tires - Michelin Pilot HX MXM4. Awful in the rain, awful in the snow (google shows hundreds of bad reviews as well). Jandling in dry weather is okay, but you can def tell that it's the weakest link in corners. Figured I'd let someone else know; always follow your gut feeling lol.

They are Goodyear Eagle Performance Touring.

Eagles are well regarded in many reviews. Some people report that they get too noisy after about 15,000 miles.
