Ok so I'm thnking about purchasing a 2010 or 11 nav and installing it in my 07, I'm thinking that will allow me acces to the onstar remote link. Has anyone done this? I might just sell my baby boo but I just want upgrade everything:cool:

No. OnStar (and Bluetooth) is a completely separate module.

Unfortunately they will probably tell you the easiest way to get remote link to work would be to purchase a 2010 or newer Escalade.

It's restricted via VIN....so if you don't have a 2010 or 2011 you're out of luck

Yes the VIN. The Onstar has to be activated while installed in a VIN of the proper year. It would continue to function afterwards if installed in another vehicle while service was still active.
