: V Floor Mat Question: LLoyds Lux vs. High-End Motorsports

I have the WeatherTech floor liners in my car and recommend them to anyone who wants to keep their carpet in like new condition, especially in winter climates. However, now it is time to get a set of nice summer floor mats for the car (I use the original mats over the WeatherTech Liners in winter).

I have located the LLoyds mats through AutoPride. High-end-motorsports.com also appears to sell a nice set, although I am unsure from their website of the origin of the mats they are selling.

Does anyone have either of these mats and like them? The LLoyds are more expensive by a fair amount. I'm not unwilling to spend the money, just unsure if there is any difference between these products. Any information appreciated.

Thanks!

ive also got a set of LLoys mats. picked them up off carid.com. their great. only complaint is that they are a little on the thick side and prevent the pedal from dropping all the way to the floor by probably .5 cm

Thanks, the photos are great! I'll go with the LLoyds as you guys like them- that's all I was looking for. I'm thinking the ebony color is correct for the V2 with the black interior, but want to confirm with you that it isn't Euro grey. Also, the carid.com price is a bit better than what I had previously found, thanks again!

From pics I've seen the ebony lloyd's mats do NOT match the interior of our ebony V's. They are much too black.

I have Luxe's in my V2 and I noticed this as well, I haven't done any data logging yet to tell if it acutally disrupts the throttle opening to 100%; it's probally closer to 1/8 of an inch once you have a foot that's putting some force behind it to squish the material that's blocking it.
The llodys do not match the interior color exactly, but they're hand made masterpieces that fit the floor perfectly. The slight difference in color is acceptable to show them off a bit. If I had to buy them all over again, I'd pay the $300 in a heart beat.

here's some pictures of them. The lighting was pretty bright that day, so the contrast in colors is more pronounced.

For the V1....the mats do NOT match the interior rug....however....I think the contrast looks great. However....I know some hate it.

BTW....here's another pic of the mats with the flash so you can see the contrast.

I don't care for the contrast. That's why I haven't got any yet.

Just curious if you have you seen them in person?

I didn't think I'd like the contrast either.....but once I saw a set in a buddy's V....I really liked it.

Actually, no. I certainly could change my mind and I would really like a set but my inclination is to want them to match the carpet.

I think the contrast is no different than the contrast between the suede inserts on the seats and the leather. I took a video with no flash so you can see the natural contrast. I did the silver border on mine.

That's a good way to put it-- it looks a lot better in person honestly.

The Lloyds mats also come in a light and and a dark grey I think. Does anyone know if either of these colors (likely the darker one) is a match? It is very hard to tell from the little color squares on the website whether these are too light in color.

Also, I think the black mats with the silver border are very sharp.
