I though I'd start a new thread for this to get it to more interested parties. This is the ..call it...female aspect of the velcro and is very pliable and sticky and wraps around the contours really well and so far seems to hold well. This resolves the jingle jangle and almost creates an eerie atmosphere as without the noise happening something feels missing :)http://gpchase.zenfolio.com/img/s11/v31/p868166398-6.jpghttp://gpchase.zenfolio.com/img/s11/v30/p1005347258-6.jpg

lol... I did the same thing once, except for me, Velcro was on the remote, not the dash..... but now I have a better solution, if your FOB is 08 style, once you start driving and you're on D, just put the FOB on the gear lever.... i Can provide pics if it sounds complicated:)

Gentlemen - before you go and pad the car and pad your key fob and pad your head and ears and before your family has you committed to a padded room, I believe there is a cheap solution that should put an end to this thread. Please take a look at this - it's been around since before most of us have been alive. It's a 30 second solution that does not require any cutting or gluing. It's called a detachable key chain and costs about $2.

Link doesn't work but I think I know what you're suggesting and if that's your take on a solution that's fine but the last thing I want to do is start splitting up my keyring. I quite happy with my cheap little fix now and have possibly avoided the padded room for now....unless I can't resolve the windy mirror issue :)

Good fix  I don't think I'll do that in my truck though. On a side note someone from gm will probably see this and pass this on. Then in the next gen escalade they will slap 99 cents worth of velcro on the steering column and add 200 dollars to the price of the vehicle.

Haha...nice thread! I can't believe how much the keys dangling annoys me too and I was thinking of what I could do about it. I'm thinking some sticky black foam or neoprene though. I like the creativity!

With the black interior you would not even see the velcro. ;)

I haven't even noticed key clanging in my ride. Either y'all complain about every little thing or I have my music turned up too loud. The truth is probably somewhere in between :lildevil:

I am certain that the velcro works great but it is damn fugly.

i agree looks is a deal breaker for me plus i don't have many keys on my ring but i never notice the jingle of the keys unless my radio is off which is rare for me as i am a music buff.
