Put some garage time in yesterday and installed the front Laser Interceptor heads..fairly stealthy I'd say. They are functional now. Maybe next week I'll tackle the rear..

Were lucky no local radar or laser, they just let us speed. ;)

Not in PA!!! Take 209 to 33 south at 15 over and you are toast!! I have a buddy who lives in Wind Gap and we go there almost once a month. I know to set the cruise because you tend to want to move there. I once saw three cruisers in line picking people off.

Now Vermont is a different story- 91 is like the Autobahn....

I am on 33 all the time, it's the northeast dragway, I must say I do give a lot of wax away to Police (State) , I am sure that has NOTHING to do with it ;) , well maybe a little. :)

Now this is a useful product. I need one here in the Toronto area. BTW, how long did it take to install?

Well if you're a novice to this type of stuff I'd say 2-3 hours just for the front the first time and 1.5 the second time.

Toronto is mostly Laser. Only use a a SPECTRE invisible RD because I know for a fact Toronto PD and OPP use SPECTRE. Also, one of my friends had a Laser deflector unit from Escort and a cop pulled him over because the laser wouldn't read. He said he didn't know what the cop was talking about and in the end, he had to follow him to the station where they confiscated the laser unit.

Laser/radar detectors are legal in Alberta as I also have an Escort 9500ix. Don't know about Ontario. Yes I may get caught and pinched with the jammer but not likely as this new model I have only jams for seconds upon detection giving you say five seconds to slow upon alert then it goes dormant for 15 seconds before re-arming itself allowing a speed reading while it's dormant.

I have the Escort 9500 CI and have the laser units mounted under the middle cross bar in a section I cut out of the grill. Similar to yours only one grill lower. The rear one is located on the bumper below the license plate and is completely hidden from view. I hit a stationary police trap in Ohio trying to clock me and it had been soo long since I had heard a laser alert I did not respond quick enough to turn it off before I went by him. He actually ran out with the gun fully visible aiming it at me as I went by. Looked like Dirty Harry on point to attack. I figured he got a reading at that time but I was within speed limits by then and he did not pursue. Wish there was training demo's so I could learn to respond automatically. The Passport is soo quiet most the time that any alert comes as a total surprise.

P.S. I had just bought the Platinum front end for my EXT and it was a traumatic event to cut it up right away. I mount the Radar detector head behind the front fascia above the lip and it works great there. The puka to the right of the light switch houses the remote control unit easily and the remote display is mounted in the IPC. Nothing is really viewable looking in the Driver's window from outside.

I have an Escort 9500ix detector windshield mount and find it great with the GPS function. After 4 false readings at a location it mutes any further alarms out at that spot. Great idea.
The Laser interception automatically disables for 15 secs after an encounter so you don't have to turn it off and is a very powerful and effective laser transmitter..different than the Escort that I think uses IR. I have a similar to the Escort BEL RX75 pro detector/jammer with a V1 in m Z06.
On my '07 I had the heads where you do but found this current location easier to install as the valance above the heads is a flat surface which made mounting better. I think either location is as effective.
Happy Jammin !

Don't mean to jack your thread here, but where in Alberta are you? I don't think there are too many of us from up here on the forum! :)
