I wanted to post up a couple of pics of the D3 mount that goes into the tow hook on the front of the car vs. drilling the beautiful front of the Wagon.

So far, I've just left this in the back seat. Plan to play "stupid" if I get pulled over for no front plate.

I will say the Vagon has intrigued a couple of police officers out on the interstate, where they pull up behind you and tail you for a couple of minutes. Neither of those officers took it upon themselves to pull me over for the front plate.

The installation is easy once it's set up. Just pop out the painted cover and thread it into place.

Delivery from D3 was slow, and they sent the unit with the wrong instructions, but no biggy.

There is another brand available that mounts under the front of the car and then it slides up and out, but I was concerned about scraping that off, so this seemed like the best alternative.

What makes this twice as expensive as the Rho model?

What makes this twice as expensive as the Rho model? No kidding. I went with the RHO(ROH?) and am happy with it...when I go in for inspection...

Do you have a link to this? I searched for front plate mounts for a long time before buying the D3 and didn't find this "RHO" model.

The D3 does come with the towing hook, which isn't a cheap part, surprisingly.

Dang...would have bought that one...oh, well. If that's the worst mistake I make today, I can live with it!
