Hello everyone. I'd like to just say that this is a fine forum. I've looked around quite a bit, and I like what I see!

So I recently bought a '94 Cadillac STS from my grandpa. I now own two cars for the first time (other is a slightly modded Jetta), and it's great! It's in great shape since he never drove it around here anyway (MN).

I've had it for a few days now, and it kind of seems to be surging / stuttering under partial throttle. This started after I cleaned out the engine bay (pretty dirty). Is this because the spark wires are wet?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just point me in the direction of any resources that you think would be helpful!

Sounds like some of the spark plug boots may be wet. The spark plugs sit in deep wells in the cylinder heads and if water collects in the well then it will cause the plug to short out if the boot is not completely sealing on the plug. Remove the plug boots and check for moisture.
