Hey guys my name is Brandon. I recently sold my 2004 SRT-4 Big turbo 420whp etc. I decided it was time to grow up a little and picked up a seriously clean 2004 with 67k miles. Completely stock except for tint. I will be looking to pick up a good set of winter tires to throw on the stock wheels and then get some new wheels with UHP summers on them (evo v12's maybe). The plan is to black just about everything out as well but, enough small talk. On to the pics!

Exactly what I was about to say. I never let any dealer sell me a car with their advertisement on it. I always have them take it off.
Welcome to the forums. Looks pretty clean, chief.

Haha thanks guys... I feel the same way the CTS is coming off too just leaving on the (V). I purchased it private party and the guy had it for 6 years. What is crazy is I am assuming he left it on there the whole time. Any suggestions how to get it off in the past I have always used dental floss then goo gone. Anyone else have any tips?

you can use a heat gun or blow dryer to heat it up and peel it off! nice car

Combine this:

you can use a heat gun or blow dryer to heat it up
With this:

dental floss then goo gone.
And then you win.

Welcome aboard! Looks like a pretty sweet ride. Have you checked into the service records to see if its got the new diff or had any other maintenance/repair items done?

Also is it just me or does it look like a passenger side rear lug nut is missing?

Before I started getting carried away with wheels and tires, I'd consider changing all the fluids in the car. Coolant, diff, trans, brake, PS, oil, etc.. I was happy to notice that the brake bleeders are on the outside of the caliper, so you don't even have to take the wheels off to change the brake fluid..

There are also bleeders on the backside of the caliper.

elwesso yep it was missing one and it has already been replaced... also is there any easy way to look into the service record history of the car? From what I know not much was done in terms of full service the guy before me said he had never ever had an issue with the car so it was only routine maintenance he had done but, he wasnt the first owner either.

Go to your dealer and give them the VIN number, you'll at least be able to get a list of the work that was done at any cadillac dealership. I don't know if oil changes show up on the service history, my car was serviced well (engine looks clean internally) but it shows no oil changes on the service history. I had about 2 pages worth of stuff that was replaced, and it was only done at the dealer.

There are also bleeders on the backside of the caliper.

Is it required to bleed from both bleeders or is one sufficient? I would assume that if they put 2 bleeders on there then both bleeders need to be bled.

Awesome I will stop by a caddy dealer and have them run the VIN. I wish there was a way to look it up online anyone know if that is possible?

Ok so emblems have been removed and on the way is all new fluids (tranny, diff, oil, filter etc), Also nav firmware upgrade and navteq 6.9 as well as a new ballast for my headlight (one is flickering), a custom short shifter (I will be using a GT500 knob) with CS bushings, and 4 winter tires (will be going on the stock wheels)

I will be painting grills black when I remove the front bumper for the ballast replacement. Any suggestions on removing the front bumper?

Both. Don't strip the bleed screws.

Welcome. Shifter looks shorter than stock...might not be as stock as you think.

Maybe it is the angle of the pic? If it isnt stock then I would hate to feel what stock is as it is sloppy as hell! Granted I came from a seriously modified SRT and the shifts were so friggen tight and so short that just about anything would prob feel sloppy. I will be installing a short shifter soon and will take pics. We will see :)
