: AR Header fix

After a year of headaches, my AR headers are finally working as promised.

Tried moving the o2 bungs to no avail.

Nick (or maybe Vick) the guy who runs AR headers agreed to ship me a new set but told my tuner to try programming around the o2 switching code.

As pissed at AR as I was, I was pretty happy that the head guy was available by phone and promised to make it right.

It sounded like a lousy way to fix the problem, but it seems to work.

Three weeks later and no codes, no black smoke (except for my tires).

Now my only problem with my V is hooking up the tires, which is a pretty good problem to have.

The high flow cats on the headers are too efficient and always throw codes. for years they have since OBDII. The only way around it (or by far the easiest) is to turn off the code through programming. You could have done the same thing with the original headers and got the same result. In the past, long tubes used to come with Casper's O2 simulators, but they have since been banned as "emissions defeating equipment".
