Flashlight
Tools to change the belt + spare belt
Small tool pouch with handy things like zip ties, 6-in-1 screw driver, fuses etc
Several bottles of water. So I'm not too dehydrated the next morning.
Few rags - mostly for the wheels
Car duster
Quick detailer
Few clean towels
Spare tire kit + breaker bar and 19mm impact socket

After I do a major mod, I'll keep a full tool bag in the trunk till I feel comfortable nothing will go wrong.

Make sure to buy "good" water bottles that are strong and won't leak. In my Suburban I had an emergency ration of those cheap 4-for-a-dollar water bottles from the gas station. I guess the hot and cold differential was too much for them as they eventually cracked and leaked all over my floor creating a wonderful mildewed smell that took weeks to clean up. Or just keep them secured and upright. The last thing you'll want is loose water all over the back of your cargo area!

I assume you know that leaving a torque wrench loaded is an excellent way to decalibrate it in a hurry?

Hmmm.......let me think about that awhile. Appears you can obviously see the value of the other items. Perhaps I should remove the typewriter ribbon from the list since there are so many to choose from that a selection is almost impossible.

I carry my cell phone at all times. This is for calling a tow truck and posting on this forum to replace broken axles and exploding clutches.
