: 2012 self drying brakes .

Just saw a commercial for the 2012 srx and it has self drying brake disks.
Anyone know how that works?
Supposedly braking is improved because after going through a puddle the rotors self dry. Better grip on a dry disk, I guess.
Do the rotors heat up after getting wet?

Sounds like something else that might fail.

I've also seen the commercial.
