Hey guys,

I have a 07 caddilac xlr-v and already bought the new tires for it and then later decided i want to get rims. The tires I bought are the run flat 235/45/19 for front and 255/40/19 for the rear. I am looking at a set of the new Z06 rims and of course they have different sizes in th front and rear. From orginalwheels.com I can order (4) 2011 corvette z06 rims that are 19" x 10" for $380 each. My first question is will the tires I bought fit on these rims and not be too wide and will they fit nice on the xlr without rubbing? Thanks in advance!

lenoble22: I've always wondered how this would look. If you have any pictures to share (or could take pictures of your setup if you got this route), I'd really like to see them. The z06 wheels look awesome on a Corvette, but I've never seen them on an XLR-V. Thanks!

I've got the Z06 rims on mine, but I went with four fronts, i.e., 18x8.5 all four corners with 255 40 18 front, 285 35 18 rear. I probably could have gotten away with the 9.5 rears, but I think you're asking for trouble if you try to put 10in wheels anywhere on this car. I've heard some folks have done it in the rear and they say it doesn't rub, but I've heard just as many say it does. I'm positive 10 up front will since my 8.5 rub a little at wheel lock.

Thanks for sharing the link to the photos! That does look really cool. I wonder how they'd look with the stock height, though. Is your car lowered?

And thanks for the wheel size tip, GizmoQ. That's a good idea since it should allow you to rotate the tires, too.
