I'm a GM employee and bought this V Wagon on the PEP program. So, new to me, bought off the MSO, but it has 9000 miles on it and at a sweet price. The manager at Fort Wayne that was driving it took good care of it for me though.

The black wheels were the only option on the thing. Interior is black.

I tagged it in July, sold the 2004 Lightning I bought new to fund the down payment on it. It was supposed to come off PEP September 10 so I've been impatiently waiting for a month. It was well worth the wait though considering the price and how bad ass it is. I just happened to find a car with the major options just how I wanted so it worked out great. Black, black wheels, black interior, no sunroof (head room for helmets), MANUAL trans.

CONGRATS! VERY NICE! You probably got a smokin deal on that car!

Do you mind me asking how much you got it for?

What do you do at GM?

Cool, congrats man, awesome car.

Where are you located, will I be seeing this parked around the tech center? I think I've seen one or two other private owned V's around there.

I work in Milford doing transfer case development. Picked it up from Lafontaine today. The PEP price was 52k, minus 3000 bonus cash. So yeah, pretty sweet deal.

HOLY FREAKING SHET! That is an amazing deal on that car! Like $20K off!!! WOW! That's awesome! Do you do transfer case development like what's on the Escalade ESV AWD vehicles?

Since it was a car with nearly no options, it wasn't quite 20k off but it was getting up there. I saved almost as much on this car as I paid for the Cobalt SS I had bought on cash for clunkers, drove 30,000 miles, and then resold for almost what I paid for it. In a round about way, I got the V on cash for clunkers on top of it.
I do work on Cadillacs, but not Escalades. Cars can have transfer cases too...
I've worked on Colorado/Canyon too.

Wow, that is a deal for sure, Congrats. W/ used car prices as high as they are right now the PEP deals are really looking good. I can get a loaded 2011 truck w/ 15k miles for the same price as a base 60k 2007 used.

Yeah, it was a couple thousand cheaper than the cheapest one on auto trader before the bonus cash dropped the price. Just a ridiculous deal.

How do you like my new license plate?

Enjoy the Vagon. Just got back from a 600 mile road trip and it is AWESOME!
